Ronnie, a seventeen year old still trying to figure out who she is, has not seen her father in over seven years. She dreads the summer her mom ships her and her younger brother off to live with their dad. Ronnie ignores her dad and starts hanging out with a couple of kids who hang out in the bad part of town. At a volleyball tournament on the beach Ronnie meets Will, a strong, full hearted boy. Ronnie and Will start dating. Like every relationship, they have their ups and downs. Eventually Ronnie enjoys being with her dad. By the end of the story Ronnie learns who she is and to appreciate everything.
I recommend The Last Song to anyone who wants a thrilling love story. Nicholas Sparks creates a thrilling novel of love, heartbreak, and learning who you are. He keeps you turning page after page.
The Last Song is a great book. Ronnie and Will make you want to keep reading. The suspense is terrific in this book. Nicholas Sparks makes you want a sequel to this book. When I was reading I did not want to put it down and I know you won’t want to either.
